Your answers stay with you

Your answers are scored in your browser. We do not send them on or save any answers, scores or severity levels. They disappear when you close the page or fill in the questionnaire again.

We do not use cookies or save your answers or scores in browser storage.

Anonymous visitor statistics

We use Umami to count visits and see which pages are viewed, country, device type and browser. We also count when a questionnaire is started or completed, when someone clicks a link to another website or an email link, when a page has been read almost to the end and when a page does not exist. We also measure how quickly pages load. Clicks on the crisis phone numbers are not counted. Answers, scores and severity levels are never included.

We also measure which websites and known traffic sources visits come from, such as search engines, newsletters and AI services. We collect only predefined values for traffic source, channel and campaign. For referring websites, we save only the domain. Other URL parameters and the part after # are filtered out before the statistics are sent to Umami.

The statistics do not use cookies or identify you. Umami does not save anything on your device. The script may read the browser setting umami.disabled in localStorage to see whether you have opted out of statistics. Umami also respects the “Do Not Track” setting in your browser.

We run Umami on our own server. The statistics are stored on servers in Frankfurt, Germany. Your IP address reaches the server when the page loads. It is used only temporarily, for example to work out roughly which country you are in, and is not saved in the statistics. The server is hosted by Fly.io and the database by Neon, which is owned by Databricks. Both are US companies. Any transfers to the USA are based on the EU’s standard contractual clauses (Fly.io) and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (Neon).

The legal basis for visitor statistics is legitimate interests: understanding how the site is used and improving it. We do not show a consent banner because we do not save anything on your device.

Technical server logs

Our hosting provider Cloudflare may keep technical server logs, such as IP addresses and times, to protect the site and manage security problems. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.

If you email us

If you send us an email, we process your email address and what you write so that we can reply. The legal basis is legitimate interests. We keep the email for as long as needed to handle your enquiry.
